Madrid and Barcelona taken by OuiShare visionares

You have probably heard that Spain and its economy are doom and gloom at the moment. In such moments it is important that to have a vision: a vision for the sharing economy, which OuiShare wants to help promote by helping local connectors in Madrid and Barcelona organize OuiShare Drinks.

You have probably heard that Spain and its economy are doom and gloom at the moment. In such moments it is important to have a vision: a vision for the sharing economy. OuiShare wants to help promote this vision and is been helping local connectors in Madrid and Barcelona

organize OuiShare Drinks and put their projects and ideas into action.

Madrid

On October 8th, with the support of BlaBlaCar.es, the first OuiShare Drinks in Madrid took place. After presentations by Vincent Rosso (BlaBlaCar Spain Director) and OuiShare co-founder Antonin Léonard, a Jam Session of 2 minutes and 1 slide each was held to introduce a wide range of projects from the Madrid region: Floqq, Simbyosi, Creciclando, 5rbase, BlueMove, Etece.com, Tutellus and TGL. Kike Carbajal took amazing pictures. Thank you! [mudslide:flickr,0,ouishare,72157631774084261] You can read more about the event and the presentations on my Spanish blog ConsumoColaborativo. If you live in Madrid and are a visionary of the sharing economy, please join our OuiShare Madrid Facebook group and feel free to get in touch with Luis Tamayo, OuiShare Connector in Madrid.

Barcelona

On October 4th, Barcelona hosted the 2nd OuiShare Drinks in the city. The party took place at Airbnb Headquarters for Spain and Portugal, next to Plaça Catalunya. At the event Kay Kuehne, managing director of Airbnb Spain & Portugal, explained the expansion of Airbnb in Spain since they opened their office back in February 2012. There are now more than 25.000 hosts all over Spain and more than 2.000 of them host tourists regularly for single nights in Barcelona. It was too early for Kay to comment on the news that 1 million nights have been spent on Airbnb in Spain in 12 months, as OuiShare reported last week. In Barcelona the Jam Session included: The Informal Economy (more information coming soon), JoinUpTaxi, TradeSchool, Rentamus, Dropis, EnCamello (in fact, from Argentina), Favoralia, Avancar, HUB Barcelona, Grownies, Uolala and Vestissimo. Not bad :) Carolina Zerpa from TradeSchool Barcelona helped with the pictures. Thanks! Don't forget that our OuiShare Catalunya Facebook group is open to everyone who is interested. Join and help change the world in a glocal way! Both events showed that for the collaborative economy to continue growing, all the actors involved must collaborate and join forces. As an entrepreneur, it is important to avoid living in your own castle and keep all your secrets to yourself. Let's share and grow together! The moment is now! Albert Cañigueral @ Lidia Aroca
